Meet Mrs Robertson
Hello! I became Mrs Robertson on June 1, 2013, when I married my husband Mark. Within seven months of him popping the question, we were saying our vows in front of our nearest and dearest at Leez Priory, in Chelmsford, Essex. Those seven months were full of discussion, research and more research as we set about creating a wedding which was all about the two of us and everything we love. We refused to settle for anything less than what was perfect for us. If that meant breaking from tradition occasionally, then so be it.
It was that determination to have the wedding of our dreams – and not a wedding which followed every one before it – which saw us seek out endless suppliers who are passionate about creating something special. Something individual. Something different.
Aside from being the very happy Mrs Robertson, I am also known as Kelly Louise Clark, the writer. After 13 years of writing for and editing regional newspapers, I stepped into the world of self-employment in 2009. I write for newspapers and magazines as well as producing content for clients’ websites and getting publicity for their news through PR. (www.kellylouiseclark.co.uk)
A Real Bride’s Guide sees my two worlds collide. Having written many wedding planning columns for Essex magazines and newspapers during those seven months, I decided I didn’t want it to end there. I wanted to share details of those companies who you won’t find at wedding shows or in magazines. And so this blog was born.
I look forward to getting to know you, hearing your stories and interacting with you as you plan and celebrate the best day of your life.
