The first live This Morning wedding – we were there!

Wow. There is no other word, but wow. To say yesterday’s first ever live wedding on ITV’s This Morning was incredible would be an understatement.

Our dear friends Annie and Gareth were the lucky pair to be chosen to get wed in front of the nation aboard the HQS Wellingon on the Thames, just across the water from the television studios.

Becoming Mrs Robertson: Two years on…

Two years ago today, I became Mrs Robertson! On June 1, 2013, I finally became a bride and a wife to my handsome husband, Mark. It’s the day I’d hoped and dreamed of forever and yet struggled to imagine ever living out those perfect moments for real.

But, it happened and we were blessed with the most incredibly perfect day. Not a thing went wrong (ok, so calling him by his middle name during our vows will be a moment never to be forgotten, but…) and it truly was the happiest day of our lives.

Mr & Mrs Robertson by Chris Deller Photography!

Another week, another wedding, another stunning photo for our wall! This weekend was the wedding of my brother-in-law. With my handsome husband as best man, I was even more keen to get a professional photo of the pair of us together. Step in wedding photographer Chris Deller (www.chrisdellerphotography.com).

Despite pouring rain all morning, as soon as it was time for the ceremony, the clouds disappeared and out came the sun! The backdrop to the photos was this far too stunning for words pink blossom tree in the grounds of Orsett Hall (www.orsetthall.co.uk) which, along with the bright sunshine, made for the most incredible colours.

Within hours of the big day finishing, Chris popped over these two incredible images for us.

Mr & Mrs Robertson by Matt Heath Photography!

Thrilled to have been sent this photo of my husband and I by Matt Heath Photography (www.mattheathphotography.com). Matt was the photographer covering my friend’s wedding over Easter weekend and he snapped this photo of us both enjoying the day.

It doesn’t matter how hard you try, you’ll never get a photo as wonderful as one by a professional. Sure, snapshots can be fun and full of meaning, but the colour and composition of this photo is just beautiful.

Thanks, Matt! Can’t wait to see the rest of the photos from the day now.

Real wedding: Sophie and Martin’s wonderfully unique country wedding

When I struck upon Sophie and Martin’s Edinburgh wedding, I simply had to share their photos on the blog. Their relaxed and romantic wedding included everything I love about a wedding – lots of gorgeous country accessories such as bunting and straw bales, as well as personal touches including an old mountain bike as their table plan to represent having met through biking.

Newly-wed Sophie, who spent just nine months planning her dream day with Martin, reveals how they made their special day different and personal to them… “We didn’t have one set theme, instead we just focussed on having a wedding that both of us and all of our friends and family would enjoy. The key was to make it relaxed, personal, fun and a little bit traditional. We both love mountain biking though so that theme did run throughout.
