Venue: Finding everything you need at Ashford International Hotel

When Mr Robertson and I were invited to spend a night at Ashford International Hotel, I must admit we were not expecting anything glamorous. Thinking the location would be the selling point – a short drive from the Eurostar at Ashford International station – we went along with open minds but low expectations.

Well, you know that old saying don’t judge a book by its cover, that came to mind when we found out what is behind the less than inspiring name.

Because, the hotel, regardless of its name, literally offers brides and grooms everything they could wish for for their big day. Want a small, intimate wedding? The Courtyard Suite and the Garden Suite are ideal as they host just 50 people each for a wedding breakfast.

Got an ever-growing guest list and not sure where could possibly host them all? Not a problem with the grand Kent Suite able to accommodate 260 guests for the wedding breakfast and up to 350 for the evening reception.

When given a guided tour of the venue, Mr Robertson and I were actually speechless at the sheer scale of the rooms and the opportunities to adapt this hotel for each individual wedding. Partition walls slide in and out of place to create larger or smaller rooms, separate bar areas and unique spaces suited to each event.

Not only that, but the hotel has its own health club, spa and swimming pool, plus relaxing, modern Quench bar which is ideal for your guests to spend time in when they arrive or stay over.

Mr Robertson and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Ashford International Hotel. The Horizon restaurant menu offered so many tasty dishes, we ate far more than was necessary before spending a cosy evening in our large hotel room, complete with comfy sofa area.

After checking out, we headed to the nearby Ashford Designer Outlet shopping centre…where I’m sure the majority of wedding guests at this hotel head the following day!
